Its increased elasticity means the icing can stretch over large surfaces without suffering rips or tears, so even the deepest of cakes and the sharpest of edges can be easily covered and look totally flawless. Since Renshaw Extra Ready to Roll Icing is excellent at covering cakes of all sizes and shapes, you can get truly creative with your cakes, with the confidence that you will achieve perfect results. Best results are achieved when used on deep or sculpted novelty cakes, but this product is also suitable for modelling, covering and sheeting.

Prepare your cake and cover with a layer of buttercream icing or jam to adhere the rolled icing to your cake. It is a good idea to measure your cake to get an idea of the amount of icing you will need. Knead the icing to reduce tightness and make it smooth and pliable. Dust your work surface and rolling pin with icing sugar. Roll out your icing to your desired thickness, taking care to rotate the icing after each roll to prevent sticking.
