These food colouring pastes are highly concentrated - use sparingly. You shouldn't add more than 3g of paste for every 1kg of cake/decoration. Add a tiny amount of colour with a cocktail stick, building up until you reach your desired intensity. Allow the colour a few minutes to develop and darken, before adding a little more with a cocktail stick, if needed.
Work with natural light to get the most accurate colour result.
If you’re kneading the colour into rolled icing make sure to wear gloves to avoid staining your fingers.
