How to use Culpitt Edible Colour Splash Dusts
Culpitt Edible Colour Splash Dusts are a fantastic product which should be a part of every cake decorating kit. Not only do these dusts offer amazing quality but they are superb value when you take into consideration their versatility.
Colour Splash Dusts are available in a fabulous range of shades and finishes meaning they can be used for a number of cake designs, from adding iridescent touches to wedding cakes, bold bright hues to kid's birthday cakes to metallic detailing on your carved novelty cakes!
These highly concentrated dusts can be used to colour buttercream, royal icing and even sugarpaste, as well as dusting onto sugar flowers and figurines for those final finishing touches.
To colour buttercream/royal icing:
Mix your chosen Colour Splash Dust into your buttercream little by little until you achieve the shade you need for your cake/decoration.
To Colour sugarpaste:
Take your white sugarpaste and create a dip in the centre. Add your Colour Splash Dust and knead into the sugarpaste until the dust is well combined.
Tip:
When colouring buttercream, royal icing or sugarpaste always add your colouring a little at a time until you reach your desired shade.
